A resident of Flic-en-Flac was arrested by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) this Thursday, April 9, as part of an investigation into alleged money laundering. This computer scientist, known under the pseudonym “Hacker”, is suspected of having laundered several million rupees through investments on a digital currency platform.

During a search of his home, investigators notably discovered a BMW sedan displaying a personalized “HACKER” license plate.

According to the FCC, the method of financing this vehicle is considered suspicious.

The suspect was taken to FCC headquarters in Réduit Triangle for the purposes of the investigation.
