The victim of the fatal accident which occurred in Barkly, Beau-Bassin, on Sunday evening, was identified as Jean Alexandre Bibi, 28 years old, resident of Rose-Hill.
The tragedy occurred around 7:40 p.m. on Edward Yee Chong Street.
When the police arrived, a crowd of around a hundred people had gathered there, in a tense atmosphere. More than fifty motorcycles were also parked along the road.
This accident also left four people injured. It appears there was a collision involving several motorcycles. The police are continuing their investigation.
