A fishing trip off the coast of Albion turned into a tragedy. Mike Bagan, 50, was on a boat with friends, not far from the lighthouse, yesterday morning, Thursday April 30. At one point, this Albion resident would have taken a dive. Since then, he has not been found.

In a complaint filed with the Petite-Rivière police, one of his friends said that Mike Bagan told him that he was going to capture octopuses. He then dove but never returned to the surface. The search continues to find the fifty-year-old.

“We went out by boat around 7:00 a.m. Mike told us he wanted to dive. Plonze linen. Arrived at my mother, I found it there. (…) The sea is ti kalm,” confides Ibrahim, another fisherman friend. The victim's friends who were on the boat searched for the missing person, but in vain. They say they later informed the National Coast Guard. “Mike was a swimmer and diver,” adds Ibrahim. Watch his testimony in the attached video.
