Furthermore, the T-junction between the Mont-ChoisyâCap Malheureux road (B13) and Vieux Moulin Road (B165), near BLOOM, will be equipped with traffic lights.

This is what the Minister of Transport, Osman Mahomed, declared following a parliamentary inquiry by Nitish Beejan. He pointed out that the TMRSU is continuing discussions with the district council of Rivière-du-Rempart concerning the establishment of single and double yellow line markings on around ten sites identified in October 2025, in order to prevent vehicles from parking on the roadway and improve road safety in the region.

Given the concerns raised by the MP, the minister intends to ask the Traffic Management and Road Safety Unit to carry out investigations around schools, places of worship, local health centers as well as in all areas at risk of accidents in the constituency, in order to identify needs for traffic calming and road safety measures for rapid implementation.
