Table Tennis – African Cadet/Junior Championships, Ghana: Josh Lim and Nikhil Desscann in the round of 16 today

Mauritian table tennis players are currently taking part in the African Cadet/Junior Championships and will continue with the African Youth Cup in Ghana. The competition began on Monday and will end on the 29th. The members of the national selection are accompanied by coach Allan Archellum who will all be back on Friday July 31.

As a reminder, the technical committee of the Mauritius Table Tennis Association had set its sights on six table tennis players, namely Josh Lim, Nikhil Desscann, Avnish Dabydin, Nishaan Desscann (U15) and Lilian Arokeum and Ishâaaq Cassomally (U19). The table tennis players also brilliantly distinguished themselves in Reunion Island last month, during a preparation course coupled with a tournament, in collaboration with the La Cressonnière club. Please note that from August 1 to 5 at the national table tennis center in Beau-Bassin, the “China-Mauritius Table Tennis Friendship Tournament” will be held. It is a tournament open to all and the deadline for registrations is Friday July 24. Cash prizes are at stake: Rs 1500 for the winner, Rs 1000 for the runner-up and Rs 500 for third.
