An anticyclone located south of the Mascarenes generates a moderate and relatively cold air current over the region. After a few drizzles observed early this morning in the south-east and on the central plateau, the weather will be generally fine during the day, according to the bulletin issued this Monday, June 8 by the Vacoas meteorological station.

Maximum temperatures will vary between 20 and 23 degrees Celsius in higher elevations and between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius in coastal regions.

During the night, the sky will be partly overcast with occasional showers on the heights. Minimum temperatures will range between 15 and 17 degrees Celsius on the central plateau and between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius on the coast.

The wind will blow from the east-southeast at around 25 km/h, with gusts reaching 55 km/h in exposed areas.

The sea will be rough beyond the reefs with waves of around 2.5 meters. Outings on the high seas as well as in the southern and eastern lagoons are not recommended.

However, the sea state in the southern and eastern lagoons will gradually improve during the afternoon.
