In its bulletin issued this Sunday morning, the Vacoas meteorological station indicates that a strong anticyclone located south of the Mascarenes continues to influence weather conditions in the region, causing relatively cold and windy weather.

The wind will blow from the southeast at around 25 km/h, with gusts reaching 60 km/h in exposed areas.

Seas remain rough beyond the reefs, with southerly swells reaching around 3.5 meters. Outings on the high seas as well as in the lagoons in the west, south and east remain discouraged. After light intermittent rains observed early this morning, mainly in the south, east and on the Central Plateau, the weather will be generally fine during the day.

The night will be partly overcast with occasional showers on the heights.

Maximum temperatures will vary between 20 and 23 degrees Celsius in high terrain and between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius in coastal areas. The minimums will oscillate between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius on the Central Plateau and between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius on the coast.

According to the weather station, clouds coming from the southern sector also influence the local weather at the start of the day.
