Maulana Hussein Luckheea, head of the Twaha Academy, presented himself to the Central Criminal Investigation Department (CCID) this Friday, April 17. His summons is part of the investigation into allegations of mistreatment targeting Mufti Azhar Peerbocus, former principal of this establishment in the East, towards students.

After leaving the premises of the Central Barracks, maulana Hussein Luckheea was to return there in the afternoon for further procedures.

As a reminder, Azhar Peerbocus is still abroad since his departure for South Africa on April 1. An “Arrest Upon Arrival” notice was issued against him.
