Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam announced the construction of the new SSRN hospital in Pamplemousses, which will include research infrastructure as well as the first Ayush Center of Excellence outside India and the first in the African region.
This announcement was made during the presentation of its 2026-2027 budget speech to Parliament on Friday June 19.
