Incredible duo formed by the father, Aurélien Gauthier, and his son, Saël, 3 years old. He is the pen and orchestrator behind the writing of the comic strip, while transforming the drawings chosen by his son with the help of artificial intelligence. Father and son thus brought to life the imagination around the comic strip The Magic Traveler. An appointment is therefore made this Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Grand-Baie La Croisette for a special signing session.
With grandparents of Reunionese origin, this pushed the Frenchman Aurélien Gauthier to carry out genealogical research and to find that, on his mother's side, there was indeed this touch of interbreeding from the islands of the Indian Ocean. Having lived in Mauritius for five years with his wife, Aurélien is above all passionate about cinema, which he has somewhat neglected for the commercial side. By chance, two years ago, he was recruited for French voice dubbing for Indian series. And...this is the revelation. He then realizes that he is made for this profession, and this renewed confidence even brings him back to his youthful passion with, he says, this possibility of creating and moving forward. The Magic Traveler was born from this desire to create, but more on the thread of simple chance. It all started with a trip to France with his son Saël, 3 years old, for his brother's wedding. Following the reflections of his little boy, Aurélien realizes that although he has a dual nationality, these childhood reflections on this trip were more of an initiatory nature. “If Saul could fly, he would cross the clouds in the blink of an eye to find what he loves on the other side of the Earth. An unexpected encounter which transformed his dearest wish into a real adventure. "It took six months to see the realization of this project with the creation of images assisted by artificial intelligence and a text full of emotions crafted by Aurélien... under the supervision of course of Saël. “He wanted his teacher to be in the drawing as well as his friends. And this is what gave rise to a writing process between son and father. Saël gave me the names of the people he wanted to see in his comic strip, settings - including the Morne mountain, which he wanted to have as a drawing -, colors... It's an incredible project, and this book is dedicated to all children who grow up with a dual culture. »What is most appealing about this dialogue between father and son is this sincere approach that makes the adventure educational and helps encourage other little budding explorers to do the same. Saël had in fact just discovered a country that he did not know, and wanted to project himself into this new universe. From there was born The Magical Traveler. However, the adventure was not always simple. Aurélien, at the head of Studio Yemoja, has in fact invested himself alone in the project. “It’s not easy to manage everything
