Soobhawtee Arnachellum-Juggessur, 61 years old and living on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Petit-Raffray, was found dead at her home on the evening of Friday June 19 after being the victim of a violent attack. His daughter believes that a theft gone wrong could be the cause of the tragedy.
According to the first elements of the investigation, a hooded individual entered the victim's house before fatally attacking him and then fleeing.
Video surveillance images recovered by the police would have made it possible to retrace part of his journey.
Alerted by the cries of the sixty-year-old, neighbors went to the scene. When they arrived, the suspect had already left the scene.
Several police units are currently mobilized to try to identify and find him.
The autopsy carried out on Saturday afternoon by Dr. Maxwell Monvoisin attributed the death to “asphyxia by smothering”.
