The leader of the Mauritian Rally, Nando Bodha, believes that the Budget does not meet the expectations of the population in terms of economic recovery and support for purchasing power. According to him, many Mauritians were hoping for measures capable of providing relief in the face of current difficulties. “We find ourselves with a very bland budget, with a lot of confusion,” he declared, particularly pointing out the announcements related to pensions.
Nando Bodha estimated that the measures concerning pension reform remain difficult to understand for part of the population. According to him, the government should have consulted more before implementing the changes announced last year. He considers that the adjustments proposed today come late when many people have already been affected by this reform.
The leader of the Mauritian Rally also regretted the absence, according to him, of strong measures to stimulate investment and promote job creation.
