The weather is expected to be cooler in the days to come, with a drop in temperatures of around two degrees expected from this Friday, May 1st.
A change that will be felt as winter gradually approaches in Mauritius. From mid-May, the mercury could drop to 11 degrees in certain regions.
According to Prithviraj Booneeady, acting director of the Vacoas weather station, this situation is explained by the arrival of an anticyclone expected this weekend, linked to a frontal system, currently close to Madagascar.
Heavy rain, gusty winds and rough seas are also expected. Just like the risk of flooding in coastal areas.
