A magnitude 4.8 earthquake recorded off the coast of Mauritius

A magnitude 4.8 earthquake occurred in the Indian Ocean this Friday afternoon, July 24, at 1:01 p.m. (Mauritius time).

According to initial information, the earthquake occurred approximately 682 kilometers southeast of Rodrigues. However, no tremors were felt on the island and no incidents were reported.
