At the Grand-Baie police station: “missing” investigation files found among classified documents

A police sergeant reported the disappearance of several files related to an investigation into an alleged brothel.

According to his complaint, the documents were stolen from his secure locker at the Grand-Baie police station.

The police officer explained that these files had been entrusted to him as part of this investigation. However, last Saturday, he noticed that they had disappeared and immediately alerted his superiors.

Searches were then carried out at the said police station.

The files were finally found among a batch of files closed without further action.

An investigation is underway.
