An electricity pylon belonging to the Central Electricity Board (CEB) collapsed this Tuesday at rue Kevin-Vern, in Bell-Village, near the Albert Trading company, in Port-Louis.

According to initial information collected, the incident could be linked to a weakening of the base of the pylon, which would have been damaged over time.

The road was temporarily blocked by the authorities to ensure the safety of users. A security perimeter was also established using warning tape to prevent access to the area concerned.

Competent teams should intervene to remove the pylon and secure the premises as quickly as possible.
