Every year, on June 14, World Blood Donor Day is celebrated around the world. This day pays tribute to voluntary donors and recalls the importance of regular blood donations to save lives, underlines the World Health Organization (WHO).
With this in mind, the Blood Donors Association, in collaboration with the Ministries of Health and Education, will organize tomorrow, Monday June 15, a peaceful march called “Blood March”.
Departure is scheduled for 10 a.m. from Forest-Side, with an arrival at Curepipe town hall.
The president of the Blood Donors Association, Dewanand Hossen, appeals to the population to support this initiative and promote blood donation.
