A 70-year-old resident of Curepipe is in critical condition in the burn unit of Candos hospital. The septuagenarian has been hospitalized there since June 15 after being the victim of a domestic accident at his home.
On Wednesday, a police officer went to his bedside to get his version of the facts, but the septuagenarian was not able to remember the circumstances of the incident. According to his sister, the victim suffers from psychiatric disorders and lives alone.
An investigation has been opened to determine the exact circumstances of this accident.
