This medico-legal conclusion provides a first element of response, but it does not yet explain the circumstances leading to this tragedy which plunged two families into dismay.
The two victims worked within the Trident company in Ebony. Norvic Salesse held a senior position in the IT department, while Manisha Budhoo worked in the compliance sector and at the same time pursued higher studies in law.
Concern arose Thursday evening when those close to Manisha Budhoo noticed that she was no longer answering their calls. According to her father, Manoj Budhoo, such silence was unusual for his daughter.
Faced with this situation, the family undertook research and went to the surroundings of their workplace in Ébène. The young woman's car is not there. The police were alerted and searches were undertaken in the region.
During the evening, events accelerate when a telephone call leads relatives to a house under construction belonging to Norvic Salesse in Petit-Verger.
When emergency services arrived, they discovered Manisha Budhoo inside a car parked in the property's garage. The SAMU staff can only note his death.
Norvic Salesse is found in critical condition. He was rushed to the C-Care Wellkin clinic, where he succumbed shortly after, despite doctors' attempts to save him.
The disappearance of the two young professionals arouses strong emotion in their respective regions.
Originally from New France, Manisha Budhoo studied in New Zealand, before returning to Mauritius to pursue her career. Engaged, she was also preparing for her wedding and considering new professional prospects.
“Mo pa krwar seki finn arive,” confides his father, in shock.
Norvic Salesse, originally from Quartier-Militaire, had his future house built in Petit-Verger. According to those close to him, he had a stable career and had many personal projects.
The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of Moka continues its investigations, in order to precisely establish the course of events. A blood sample taken from Manisha Budhoo was sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for further analysis.
Several people from the victims' entourage should be heard in the coming days, to allow investigators to reconstruct the last hours preceding the tragedy. At this stage, the police are keeping the investigation open and awaiting the results of the various expert assessments before deciding on the exact circumstances of this double tragedy.
Among the main questions:
⢠What time did the two colleagues leave their workplace?
