As part of an ongoing investigation, the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) conducted a search operation at the home of Hans Manthir Ballah, 46, a businessman residing in Ébène.
At the end of this operation, the latter was taken to the headquarters of the FCC where he is currently questioned “under warning”.
Investigators seized a sum of Rs 700,000 in cash, as well as his vehicle, a BMW, as part of the investigation.
Investigations are continuing to establish the exact circumstances of the case and to determine the extent of his possible involvement.
