Flacq: four minors arrested after attempted theft at the police station

Four minors, aged 15 to 17, were arrested as part of an investigation into an attempted theft that occurred within the Flacq police station.

The events occurred on Monday, August 3, around 3:25 a.m. A police officer on duty surprised three individuals dressed in black who were trying to take away an damaged motorcycle parked in the station yard.

Upon seeing the police officer, the suspects abandoned the two-wheeler near the parking lot exit before fleeing. The motorcycle, a black Pulsar, had been placed at the station as part of an investigation into a road accident which occurred on July 26.

Following information collected by the DCIU Eastern, four teenagers were arrested Monday afternoon in Boulet Rouge, Cité Hibiscus and Bramsthan.

Taken to the Flacq CID, they would have admitted their involvement in this affair. They were later released on parole.

The investigation continues.
