Free screenings and blood collection at the Super U in Grand-Baie this Saturday

The traveling health promotion campaign of the Ministry of Health and Well-being will make another stop this Saturday, July 11, at the Super U in Grand-Baie, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The public will be able to benefit from several screening services free of charge, particularly for diabetes, high blood pressure and cardiovascular diseases. Screening for breast and cervical cancer, as well as HIV/AIDS, will also be offered. Dental consultations and examinations as well as information on Ayurvedic services will also be available.

The day will also include awareness raising activities on dengue, chikungunya and leptospirosis. ADSU will be present to inform the public about the effects of drug use, while an exhibition of local products and tasting sessions are also planned. A blood drive will be organized on site and eligible people are invited to participate. Partner of the event, Radio Plus will provide on-site entertainment from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Doctors and other health professionals will appear live to share prevention advice and answer questions related to different health issues.
