The report on the reform of the national cannabis policy is expected at the end of June / beginning of July. This was announced by Kunal Naik this Thursday, April 30. In front of the press this morning, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Agency for Drug Control (NADC) indicated that this is a report prepared by a technical group of the agency, and that consultations will be launched next week.
Changes are expected, particularly regarding medical cannabis, in order to improve its accessibility. The industrial hemp route is also being studied, with significant economic potential, underlines Kunal Naik.
The question of decriminalization, or even legalization, will also be addressed. The CEO of the NADC says he expects pressure and resistance from certain lobbies when the report is published. However, he maintains that his position has not changed.
