A 55-year-old resident of Sainte-Croix died Monday morning after drowning in the Le Goulet lagoon.
According to the first elements of the investigation, his son, aged 26, who was there, managed to bring him back to shore while he was in difficulty in the water.
Alerted, the Terre-Rouge police officers went to the scene. The death was noted by a SAMU doctor.
The autopsy, carried out by forensic pathologist Dr Chamane, concluded that there was “asphyxia due to drowning”.
