A new case of leptospirosis has been recorded in Mauritius. The patient, a resident of Flacq, was hospitalized and his state of health is considered stable.

Since the start of the year, 14 cases and three deaths linked to leptospirosis have been recorded in the country.

The acting director of health services, Dr Fazil Khodabocus, appeals to the population for vigilance.
