Mauritius is preparing for post-AGOA. Bilateral discussions were initiated by Port-Louis with Washington in order to secure its commercial interests. SME Minister Aadil Ameer Meea is already leading a series of high-level meetings with a Mauritian delegation.
Objective: guarantee the continuity of exports to the American market after the December 2026 deadline.
Discussions focus on American tariffs, but also on the possibility of a bilateral trade agreement. Mauritius thus seeks to gain visibility and stability.
