A tragedy occurred in Petit-Raffray around 6 p.m. this Friday. A 61-year-old woman was found dead in her home after being the victim of a fatal attack.
According to the first elements of the investigation, an individual wearing a balaclava entered the house with the victim's authorization. For reasons still unknown, he then attacked the victim before fleeing.
Video surveillance images recovered by the police would have made it possible to retrace part of the suspect's journey.
Alerted by the victim's cries, neighbors went to the scene. When they arrived, the suspect had already left the scene.
Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) have opened an investigation and are continuing their investigations in order to identify and find the alleged perpetrator.
At this stage, the motive for this murder has not yet been established. An autopsy will be performed this Saturday to determine the exact causes of death.
