A 37-year-old Malagasy painter was seriously injured on Wednesday in Pamplemousses after falling approximately six meters from a scaffolding.
The accident occurred around noon while he was repainting a building located on Route Royale, near the local church.
Taken care of by the SAMU, he was transported to the SSRN hospital, where he was admitted under observation.
Checks carried out by the police revealed that the man, residing in Rose-Hill, had entered Mauritius last January with an eight-day tourist visa. He was in an irregular situation at the time of the accident.
