A tragedy was narrowly avoided this Thursday, July 16 in Petite-Rivière. On board a CNT (National Transport Corporation) bus operating line 123 Port-Louis and coming from Flic-en-Flac, a passenger suffered a violent attack before collapsing, unconscious.

The man seemed to be suffering from an illness akin to an epileptic seizure. The passengers, supported by the receiver, immediately came to his aid.

Faced with the urgency of the situation, the driver took the initiative to go without delay to the Area Health Center in Petite-Rivière so that the passenger could be taken care of as quickly as possible. A decision which allowed rapid medical intervention.

The passenger was then handed over to the healthcare teams.

The composure and responsiveness of the driver, the conductor, the passengers, including a couple of tourists, are praised. Their exemplary mobilization contributed to providing assistance to a man in distress, demonstrating that a surge of solidarity can make all the difference in an emergency situation.
