As a reminder, the reaction of MSM leader Pravind Jugnauth came after the arrest of Soodesh Callichurn and Renganaden Padayachy as part of an investigation into alleged embezzlement surrounding the award, in 2023, of an oil contract worth 30 billion rupees to the company MMG.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs insisted, for his part, that the government does not intervene in any way in the work of the institutions responsible for the investigation.
