On the occasion of Mother's Day, Radio Plus shakes up preconceived ideas by celebrating a family relationship often surrounded by clichés, but rich in complicity: the one that unites mothers-in-law and their daughters-in-law.
Launched on May 28 at the Tribeca Mall in a warm atmosphere, the first edition of the “Super Mom” game saw four pairs compete in live elimination rounds. Proof that behind prejudices lie true stories of friendship and mutual respect, the participants shared strong moments of complicity and intergenerational transmission.
The grand finale is scheduled for this Sunday, May 31 at 10 a.m., Mother's Day. It will pit two finalist duos: Tashyana Pillay Kuppadu, recently elected mayor of Curepipe, and her mother-in-law Vinoda Kuppadu, against Christina Sirop and her mother-in-law Marie-Josée Sambiegne. This final can be followed on Radio Plus, TéléPlus and defimedia.info.
Beyond the title of Super Maman 2026, the finalists will leave with numerous rewards offered by the event's partners (Dubon Distribution, Edendale, Courts Mammouth, Honor Mauritius, Woolworths and Pharmacy Tropical).
Each pair will immediately receive a Farmland basket worth Rs 2,500, Fondanté chocolates and Mine Bonto products. The big winners will benefit from additional prizes. The mother-in-law will win an all-inclusive day package for two people at the Tamassa Hotel, a Courts Mammouth air fryer, an Honor connected watch, a RIVA Excellence watch worth Rs 5,000 and a Rs 2,000 voucher at Woolworths. The daughter-in-law will also receive a RIVA Excellence watch worth Rs 5,000, Honor wireless earphones, a Woolworths voucher worth Rs 2,000 and a Farmland hamper.
