A resident of Résidence Mangalkhan, aged 76, died by drowning on Sunday, May 3 in Trou-d’Eau-Douce, near Île-aux-Cerfs.
His body was recovered from the lagoon. Alerted, the authorities went to the site to make initial findings.
The autopsy concluded that asphyxia was due to drowning.
An investigation has been opened to shed light on the exact circumstances of this tragedy.
