The pain is immense within the Budhoo family, in New France. A few hours after the discovery of the bodies of his daughter, Manisha Budhoo, 24, and Norvic Salesse, 31, in Caprice Lane, St-Pierre, Manoj Budhoo said he wanted above all to know the truth about the circumstances of this tragedy which continues to cause incomprehension.

The bodies of the two young colleagues were discovered on a property belonging to Norvic Salesse, in Caprice Lane, St-Pierre. The body of the latter was found in the garage of his house under construction, while that of Manisha Budhoo was found in a car parked on the land.

Norvic Salesse, a resident of Quartier-Militaire, held the position of Human Resources Officer (HR) within the company Trident, based in Ébène. Manisha Budhoo worked in the legal department of the same company.

At this stage, the exact circumstances of this double drama have not yet been established. Autopsy results are awaited, while the police investigation continues.

Manoj Budhoo explains that his daughter had obtained a Master's degree in New Zealand, where she had also worked for some time before returning to Mauritius to pursue her professional career. She also had plans for the future with her fiancé, who is now inconsolable, according to her father.

Another question also concerns the family. Manoj Budhoo says his daughter's car remains untraceable at the moment. He hopes that the investigation will also shed light on this aspect of the matter.

Manisha was the eldest of two daughters in the family. Her younger sister, aged 20, completed her Higher School Certificate (HSC) exams last year.

For those close to her, the young woman's sudden disappearance is all the more difficult to accept as she still had her whole life ahead of her.

While the investigation continues, Manoj Budhoo says he is waiting for answers. Like many relatives of the two victims, he hopes that the conclusions of the investigators and the results of the autopsies will make it possible to understand what really happened in St-Pierre.
