In a context where complex pathologies are gaining ground in Mauritius, a major initiative has placed the island in the spotlight of the medical world. The Overseas Medical Care & Assistance organization is striking a big blow by setting up a Continuing Medical Education (CME) Conference, in collaboration with C-Care and Max Super Specialty Hospital Saket.

The meeting takes place on Tuesday April 21, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., in the refined setting of the Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa. A scientific evening which is already shaping up to be a pivotal moment for the local medical community.

Two global figures at the heart of exchanges

For this edition, two renowned international experts will be traveling:

Dr Kulbhushan Singh Dagar, world leader in neonatal cardiac surgery, will speak on a theme as delicate as it is vital: congenital heart defects, highlighting the advances that today make it possible to save lives from the very first moments.

Dr. Rayaz Ahmed, a recognized specialist in hematology, will share his expertise on bone marrow transplantation, addressing the indications, clinical practices and management of complications.

At the heart of cutting-edge medicine

On the program for this CME: medical innovations, advanced therapeutic strategies and concrete feedback in disciplines where each decision can change destiny. A real space for exchange between Mauritian practitioners and international experts, with a view to transferring skills.

A medical bridge between Mauritius and India

For several years, OMCA has played a key role in supporting Mauritian patients requiring specialized treatments abroad, particularly in India. Thanks to comprehensive support - from diagnosis to post-treatment follow-up - the organization helps to offer a second chance to many patients.

Its foundation also stands out for its support of the most vulnerable cases, allowing families in distress to access otherwise inaccessible care.

A strategic partnership for the future

This conference marks an important step in strengthening the links between OMCA, C-Care and Max Super Specialty Hospital Saket, with a clear ambition: to raise the level of care in Mauritius and bring local standards closer to international excellence.

An appeal to the entire medical community

Doctors, specialist nurses, anesthesiologists, oncologists, hematologists, pediatricians, cardiac specialists and healthcare professionals from across the island are invited to take part in this exclusive event.

Beyond knowledge sharing, this meeting promises a direct impact on local clinical practice, in areas where expertise can make all the difference.

Participation reserved for registered healthcare professionals
