The Ministry of Labor works with the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to ensure that cases of workplace violence are prosecuted and punished. An announcement made by Minister Reza Uteem this Thursday, April 30.

He was speaking this morning at a workshop organized as part of activities marking Labor Day, celebrated on May 1. At the center of the discussions: a symposium devoted to mental health in the workplace.

According to the minister, nearly 840,000 workers around the world die each year from stress-related illnesses and mental health disorders.

Reza Uteem emphasizes that the psychological well-being of employees is directly linked to business performance and productivity.
