Shock and incomprehension reign in Quartier-Militaire after the discovery of the bodies of Jean Valery Norvic Salesse, 31, and Manisha Budhoo, 24, Friday morning in Caprice Lane, St-Pierre.

In the neighborhood of Norvic Salesse, emotion is running high. Several residents say they have difficulty accepting the sudden disappearance of this young man whom they describe as respectful and helpful.

Among them, Kumaree and Ganga, two long-time neighbors, are particularly upset. They keep the memory of a man who was discreet, polite and always ready to greet the residents of the neighborhood.

“He’s a good guy. Touletan respects dimounn,” confides one of them, still in shock. Another neighbor agrees. Both say they don't understand what could have happened.

The drama played out in Caprice Lane, St-Pierre, in a house under construction belonging to Norvic Salesse. According to information gathered, the young man's body was found in the garage of the property. A relative transported him to the C-Care clinic, where he was pronounced dead.

The body of Manisha Budhoo, resident of Morc SIT, New France, was discovered inside Norvic Salesse's car, parked on the property's grounds. SAMU emergency services, dispatched to the scene, could only note his death.

The two victims worked within the Trident company, based in Ébène.

The St-Pierre police have opened an investigation to shed light on the exact circumstances of this tragedy. At this stage, the case is being treated as a case of “alleged murder”.
