Neelam Munisami, companion of Fabrino Cupidon, was taken this Friday June 5 by the police to the scene where she claims to have thrown the knife. Slabs were removed from a gutter to allow the recovery of the suspected murder weapon.

As a reminder, Fabrino Cupidon, aged 38, was found lifeless at his home in Rotin No. 1, in La Source, Quatre-Bornes, on the evening of Thursday June 4. The criminal trail is favored by investigators.

The autopsy, performed this morning by forensic pathologist Shaila Jankee Prasad, attributed the death of Fabrino Cupidon to an injury caused by a stab wound to the thigh.

The police attended the scene following a request. When police arrived, they discovered the victim lying on the ground. Traces of blood were found inside the house, in front of the residence as well as in the alley leading to the main road.

As part of the investigation, his partner, Neelam Munisamy, aged 31, was arrested by investigators from the Quatre-Bornes CID. During her interrogation, she allegedly stated that an argument had broken out between her and her companion and that the latter was injured during the altercation.

Investigators also carried out several searches on the suspect's indications. A knife, possibly linked to the case, was found Friday morning in a gutter by elements of the Scene of Crime Office (SOCO). According to the first elements of the investigation, the suspect indicated to the police the place where she got rid of the alleged weapon after the incident.

She then appeared before Rose Hill Court on a provisional charge of murder before being taken back to a police cell.

The investigation continues.
